Honoring Sevice And Storytelling
As 2024 draws to a close, we reflect on the incredible stories, resilience, and creativity of the veterans who share their art with us.
Listen. Amplify. Empower.
At the National Veterans Art Museum, we know that listening to veterans is one of the most powerful acts of gratitude we can offer. This holiday season, we ask you to join us in amplifying their voices.
Art allows veterans to express the unspeakable and heal through creation. At NVAM, we see firsthand how art transforms pain into purpose and gives veterans a medium to share their stories with the world. Through their art, they provide windows into experiences that deepen our understanding of the complexities of service and conflict.
When we listen, we not only learn—we build bridges between communities and generations, ensuring that these stories live on. As we look to the future, we are committed to ensuring that veterans' art will always have a home to unite, inspire, and heal.
Like many museums, we have been in a slow recovery since the pandemic; but thanks to the incredible support of people like you, we've been able to ramp back up and bring veterans’ voices to the forefront. With new programs like our artist Fellowship and Stroke of Art event, inspiring exhibitions, and community-building service projects, we've loved witnessing the powerful connections formed between veterans, their families, and supporters like you. Whether you’ve donated, visited, or engaged with our mission some other way, you’ve helped ensure veterans' stories are heard and we are grateful.
As we continue this journey of recovery and growth, we’re excited for the future and the opportunities ahead to reach even more veterans and communities with the transformative power of art - but your help is essential!
We invite you to make a gift today as an investment in the power of art, in the stories of our veterans, and in the future of the museum. Together, we can ensure that the voices of our veterans are amplified and integrated into our collective understanding.
Thank you for listening, for learning, and for giving.
With gratitude,
Giselle Futrell
